This week, Needful Things Fresh Start delivered Johnsonville sausages to families across our rural community — families who are doing their best, stretching what they have, and trying to make it through another day with dignity.

As we walked door to door, boxes in hand, we were met with gratitude that can’t be captured in a photo. One gentleman stepped outside and shared that his wife had just undergone eye surgery. He had been worried about how he would manage groceries while also caring for her during recovery. When he saw the food in our hands, he said quietly, “This came at the best time. Now she can rest, and I don’t have to leave her side.”

Moments like that are why we show up.
